Jujutsu Kaisen

March 5, 2024

We’re a few short days away from Awesome Con 2024 and boy, has it come up fast!

I’ve been working hard these last few weeks preparing for the show - refreshing this website, acquiring convention signage, and designing new business cards.

In my down time, i would take breaks by watching Jujutsu Kaisen to unwind. After the third or fourth re-watch, i figured it was time to dive into the manga and catch up (season 2’s cliffhanger is too crazy to leave the series alone until season 3 in 2025).

As i read through the latest chapters, i felt inspired to create some JJK Illustrations for the upcoming show.

Deciding what to draw wasn’t easy - I like so many of the characters and moments from the series, and i wanted to be cognizant of not being too spoiler-y for anyone that isn’t caught up.

I finally settled on a Sukuna illustration that highlights a moment from Season 2:

and, a Yuta Okkotsu character illustration that reflects the current Yuta at the end of Season 2:

I’m very pleased with how these two came out. There are more that I’m looking forward to doing, they just won’t be ready in time for this weekend’s show.

I’m looking forward to debuting these prints at Awesome Con this weekend! If you’re at the show, be sure to stop by and see them in person (they look really nice in person).

-Mike
